The Heritage House
Greensbor, North Carolina
Located in the oldest neighborhood of Greensboro, North Carolina, this classic Shingle style home exudes charm and elegance fashioned after turn of the 20th century architecture. The Heritage House is designed to look and feel as if it has been planted there for centuries. KBN Interiors worked in partnership with residential plan designer Jim Phelps to bring this architectural heirloom to life.
At the Heritage House charm is in the details. The hardscape and exterior selections designed by KBN Interiors create a joyful harmony around the outdoor patio—perfect for backyard celebrations. From the moment you enter through the custom crafted front door accentuated by lattice leaded windows, you're transported to an era when craftsmanship was a lifestyle. Custom built-ins designed by KBN Interiors give this home a special look all its own. Two hutches showcase treasures and add functionality as you walk under the arched entry way that leads into the cozy family-style dining room. The window treatments are all custom created by KBN Interiors. The exquisite Tennessee thin stone fireplace and piano add warmth and elegance to gatherings of friends of family.
In the kitchen the Copper Innovations custom barrel shaped burnished copper hood adds a historical touch over the Sub-Zero and Wolf rangetop. For durable and stylish cabinet and door hardware, KBN Interiors selected Ashley Norton Architectural Hardware. Other remarkable features include the custom built mantel, canon ball fireplace and bold iron baluster that leads upstairs.
The interplay of millwork, masonry and interior architecture speaks to design that is timeless, comforting and beautifully functional. From the concept development that commenced the Heritage House, the KBN design team created custom specifications and interiors that define a family legacy to behold.
